Reusable single workouts you can import into programs or run standalone.

A saved session is one workout day, stored on its own so it can be used more
than once.

## When to save a session

- The day appears across multiple programs
- You want a standalone workout ready without a program around it
- You have a repeatable template: a conditioning day, a deload, a test day

## Importing into a program

Importing copies the session's structure into that training day. From then on
the program owns its copy. Editing the original session later leaves programs
that already imported it unchanged.

> **Why copy on import.** Linked imports would let one edit change programs you are mid-way through
> training. Copy-on-import keeps active programs stable.

> **Sessions vs programs.** If you find yourself saving five sessions and running them in a fixed order,
> build a program. See [Build programs on web](/docs/build-programs-on-web).
