Where Everfit is stronger
The free tier holds a real roster. Starter is free with up to 5 clients, a workout builder, a custom exercise library, tasks, and inbox messaging. Trainerize Basic holds 1 coaching client.
Set targets are structured. The builder has fields for weight, reps, duration, rest time, tempo, and notes. Rep ranges go in the reps field with a dash. RPE, RIR, heart-rate percent, cadence, and calories are tracking fields, up to 4 per exercise. Trainerize targets are text or time, so a rep range is words inside a text box.
Loads move without a spreadsheet. Percent-of-1RM programming assigns weights using the Epley method. As a client logs a new PR, later sessions adjust. It works for exercises in the Strength category and needs a logged workout or a set 1RM. Trainerize's progression spreadsheet is edited by hand, and its edits vanish if the workout moves.
Teams cost nothing. Everfit lists unlimited teammates included, with Admin or Trainer permission levels. Trainerize Pro 5 and Pro 15 include 1 trainer seat.
Offline logging is documented. A client downloads a workout, trains without signal, and the log syncs on reconnect. Exercise videos are unavailable offline and downloads delete 14 days after their assigned date. Trainerize's pages do not describe offline logging.
Where ABC Trainerize is stronger
Reach and track record. The about page claims over 400,000 trainers and 1.6 million clients, a 2012 founding, and ABC Fitness ownership since 2020. Its App Store listing shows about 68,000 ratings. Everfit launched in August 2020 and its client app shows about 2,700.
Phased programs. A program is built from phases, each with its own duration and calendar. You can import whole phases from another program and rename, duplicate, or delete them.
Payments carry no platform cut. Stripe Integrated Payments is $10 per month on the date checked. The help center says Stripe transaction fees are removed and states no platform revenue share. Everfit's help center describes a USD $9 per month platform fee on top of card fees.
A branded app without an Enterprise contract. The Pro Custom Branded App is $169 one-time. It shares the Apple listing and shows the name Fitness App on iOS, with its own Google Play listing. Everfit's own-app white label sits on Enterprise and needs a D-U-N-S number and your own developer accounts.
Group chat on a cheaper plan. Group sends reach up to 10 clients. Everfit's group chat and broadcasts sit on Studio, which starts at $105 per month.
Pricing, read carefully
Both platforms price by client count. Annual billing takes 10 percent off on Trainerize and 16 percent off on Everfit. All prices are USD on the date checked. Neither lists a per-client overage.
5 clients. Everfit Starter is $0, without multi-week programs, forms, habits, or macros. Everfit Pro for 5 clients is $19 per month, or $16 per month billed annually. Trainerize Pro 5 is $25 per month, or $23 per month billed annually, with 1 trainer seat.
15 clients. Everfit has no 15-client tier. The 20-client Pro tier is $49 per month, or $41 per month billed annually. Trainerize Pro 15 is $50 per month, or $45 per month billed annually, with 1 seat.
30 clients. Everfit's next tier is 35 clients at $75 per month, or $63 per month billed annually. Trainerize Pro 30 is $79 per month, or $71 per month billed annually, with 3 seats.
Add-ons decide the real bill.
On Everfit, Autoflow automation starts at $29 per month for the first 30 clients. Payments and Packages starts at $9 per month. Meal Plans and Recipe Books is $39 per month. Zapier starts at $19 per month for 1,000 tasks. A 30-client coach with automation and payments pays $75 plus $29 plus $9. That is $113 per month before card fees.
On Trainerize, Advanced Nutrition is $20 per month up to Pro 15, then $45 per month from Pro 30. Business, which covers scheduling and self-booking, is $25 per month. Video Coaching and Stripe Integrated Payments are $10 per month each. The Pro Custom Branded App is $169 once. A 30-client coach with nutrition, business tools, and payments pays $79 plus $45 plus $25 plus $10. That is $159 per month.
Card fees differ. Everfit charges $0.30 plus 3.15 percent on US cards and $0.30 plus 4.65 percent on international cards. The $9 monthly platform fee sits on top. Trainerize passes through Stripe's fees, with 3.15 percent plus 30 cents given as an example.
Both trials run 30 days with no card. Trainerize's trial excludes add-ons and its AI builder.
Who should pick which
Pick Everfit if you write structured strength programs with rep ranges, RIR or RPE fields, and percent-of-1RM loads. Pick it if you want to pay nothing until the roster passes 5. Pick it if you run a team without paying per seat, or if clients train without signal.
Pick ABC Trainerize if you want the larger established platform, phased programs, and a branded app for a one-time fee. Pick it if you sell packages and want Stripe's fees with no platform cut. Pick it if habits and meal tracking matter more than set targets.
Where Method sits
Method is a narrower tool than either. A Coach Workspace costs $19.99 per month for 5 clients and $2.00 per extra client. The coach side is web, the client app is iPhone, and sets carry rep ranges with RIR or RPE. Check-in templates, drawn form-check feedback, and a publish review come with it. It has no Android app, no client payments, no habits, no nutrition, no branded app, and no group chat.
